Welcome back to Publisher Showcase, where we highlight the people and platforms powering some of the most useful gaming resources in the Nitro network.
This month, we’re spotlighting Rolimon’s, a platform built to give Roblox traders and collectors deeper insight into the limited item economy. What started as a personal project to track item data and market activity has grown into a widely used resource helping users better understand how the market moves and make more informed trading decisions.
Read on to see how Rolimon’s turned a passion for trading into a platform used by millions in the Roblox community. 👇
First up, can you tell us about the origins of Rolimon's and the idea behind creating the platform?
Rolimon's started from my own experience as a Roblox limited item trader. Trading limiteds was a hobby of mine, and over time I became very interested in the economy around those items. That interest led to the idea of creating a platform focused on giving traders and collectors better insight into the Roblox limited item ecosystem.

What problem or opportunity did you see that inspired the creation of Rolimon's? Were there any specific gaps in the market or a particular insight that motivated the launch?
At the time, I was frustrated by the lack of data Roblox itself provided for limited items. There wasn't a good way for traders to easily view and understand item ownership, price history, trends, and other economy data. When I discovered Roblox had web APIs that exposed much of this information, I realized I could use them to build the kinds of tools I wanted as a trader.
How long has Rolimon's been live, and what was the journey like from initial development to launch?
Rolimon's launched at the end of 2017. The path to launch began with me collecting data and building tools for my own use as a trader, mainly to better understand limited item data and market activity. As those tools improved, it became clear to me that they would be useful to other Roblox traders and collectors. From there, I turned what began as a personal project into a public platform.
How did you decide on the specific features and tools available on Rolimon's?
The features I added were simply the things I wanted to use myself as a Roblox trader. Most traders needed the same kinds of tools I did, such as price and sales history, as well as item ownership lists for finding other users to trade with. We later established an item valuation system and added item values to the site, since an item's trade value can differ significantly from its recent selling price.

How were you able to build a strong online presence for the website?
We were fortunate to have strong organic growth. Early on, growth came primarily through word of mouth, especially on Discord. Later, we likely saw additional growth through search engines and through people organically talking about Rolimon's on platforms like YouTube and Twitter.
What have been some of the most effective tactics to drive traffic to your website so far?
Our strong Discord community and the widespread adoption of our tools and valuation system within the Roblox trading community have been two of the biggest drivers of traffic. Because the site offers tools people actively use for trading, it benefits from strong repeat usage and word-of-mouth sharing, with search traffic also becoming an important source over time.
Has AI changed how you manage or grow your website (e.g. traffic, content creation, user engagement)?
I believe AI has caused a surge in private bots that scrape our site's pages and APIs for data they use to build their own custom tools. Bots like these have been a longstanding and ever-evolving challenge for us, but AI has made bot development much more accessible, even to non-developers, which has significantly increased this type of activity.
What are you most proud of in regards to the success of Rolimon's so far? Any major highlights?
I'm most proud of being able to build features and surface statistics about Roblox limited items and the trading economy that had not previously been available in an accessible way.
Sharing that information with our users and making the market more transparent has been very rewarding. It's also meaningful to know that Rolimon's data and tools help traders make more informed decisions and avoid some of the pitfalls of trading without good information.

What advice do you have for new and existing website owners that you wish you knew before you started?
My biggest advice is to build something you genuinely understand and would want to use yourself. That gives you a much better sense of what matters to users and helps you create a more intuitive product.
I also think it's extremely important to stay close to your users. If you create a welcoming place for them to share feedback, ask questions, and stay updated, they will often tell you what they want next, report issues quickly, and help build a strong community around the platform.
What do you like best about being a part of Nitro’s network of premium gaming/entertainment websites?
The best part about Nitro has been the support they've given me over the years. They helped with the initial implementation, provided guidance on ad unit configuration and placement, and have often helped me generate custom reports so I could better understand my site's strengths and identify areas for improvement.
What’s next for Rolimon's?
We're currently adding support for Roblox bundles, since some of them recently became tradable. After that, we plan to focus on quality-of-life improvements and new features that make better use of data we already have but haven't yet made available to users on the site.
